Data Scientist, Analytical Sciences and Operations

An entrepreneurial role, embedded in the global Analytical Sciences team and collaborating closely with the Data Science group, which aims to develop tools for optimizing the value that analytical chemistry data brings to the creation of new products for health, nutrition and beauty.

Your key responsibilities

Represent the global Analytical Sciences teams within a community of data scientists.
Lead and/or contribute to multidisciplinary and multidivisional industrial research through advanced processing of existing data and helping to plan collection of new analytical data.
Maintain awareness of relevant state-of-the-art technologies and knowledge relevant to data science as they pertain to analytical chemistry. Identify opportunities to improve and automate procedures, protocols and systems.
Develop data science pipelines and prototype analysis tools. Apply programming capabilities and advanced chemometric techniques to analysis and interpretation of large data sets. Build databases, data processing tools, dashboards and visualization tools.
Build strategic relationships with and communicate results to internal stakeholders. Provide training to colleagues to allow them to discuss knowledgably with data scientists, communicate needs and understand possibilities.

You bring

Demonstrated expertise in data science, database development and coding.
Strong foundation in chemistry and demonstrated understanding of analytical chemistry.
Expertise in Python and SQL.
Experience with data visualization and dashboard development.
Theoretical and hands-on experience with analytical methods, for example, GC-MS and/or LC-MS in particular data processing.
Track record of independently delivering complex projects with demonstrated success in interdisciplinary projects.
Must be a strong team player, self-motivated, a strong communicator, and detail oriented.
